Munnar

Munnar is a town in the Western Ghats mountain range in India’s Kerala state. A hill station and former resort for the British Raj elite, it’s surrounded by rolling hills dotted with tea plantations established in the late 19th century. Eravikulam National Park, a habitat for the endangered mountain goat Nilgiri tahr, is home to the Lakkam Waterfalls, hiking trails and 2,695m-tall Anamudi Peak

Thekkady

Thekkady is a town near Periyar National Park, an important tourist attraction in the Kerala state of India. The name Thekkady is derived from the word “thekku” which means teak. Temperatures are lowest in the months of December–January and highest in the months of April–May

Malankara Dam

Malankara dam is a gravity dam constructed across Thodupuzha river for irrigation purposes. The dam is constructed to make use of the tail water from the Moolamattom power house. The project is run under the Muvattupuzha Valley Irrigation Project and KSEB. The artificial lake covers an area of around 11 square km.

Vagamon

Vagamon (Malayalam: വാഗമൺ) is an Indian hill station and a revenue village primarily located in Peerumedu Taluk of Idukki district (majority area including Vagamon town), and also Meenachil taluk and Kanjirappally taluk of Kottayam district in the state of Kerala, India.^[3]^[4] Located in the Western Ghats 25 kilometres (16 mi) east of Erathupetta on the border of Kottayam-Idukki districts, Vagamon is famous for its natural beauty.^[5] The Vagamon glass bridge is the longest cantilever glass bridge in India.^[6]

There are still a lot of sights ahead of the tourists who are looking for the wonders of Idukki. As such, Ulupuni is a place that has won a place in my heart even though it was a little late to discover. The attractions of Ulupuni are the grasslands and the adventurous jeep ride through them.

Thommankuthu

Thommankuthu (Malayalam: തൊമ്മന്‍കുത്ത്) is a waterfall located in Thodupuzha Thaluk, Idukki District, Kerala, India. It is a popular tourist spot in the state and one of the major centres of eco-tourism in Kerala.^[1] The seven-step waterfall is situated in a forest in the southern part of Western Ghats mountain range.

Ilaveezhapoonchira

Ilaveezhapoonchira is a tourist destination located in Melukavu village in Kottayam district near Kanjar. Ilaveezha Poonchira is surrounded by three enchanting hillocks – Mankunnu, Kodayathoormala and Thonippara. This makes the place ideal for trekking (Elevation 962 m (3155 ft)).^[1]

Illikkal Kallu

Illikkal Kallu is a Thalanadu located on top of the Illickal Malaa in the Kottayam district of Kerala, India.The distance from kottayam railway station to illikal kallu is 57km. Situated at around 3500 feet above sea level, Illickal Kallu is a major tourist attraction in Thalanadu.
